Francesco Mansueto conducts his professional activity in the city of Turin where, over fifteen years of activity, he has built up many partnerships and in 2001 founded his studio Zerotre, which changed name in 2004 becoming UAU. Over the years, his main activities have been designing sets for large events and stands for Italian and international companies.
He has built up partnerships with international communication agencies who entrust him with the design of sales spaces and display elements for brands such as Longines, Tissot, Blancpain, Breguet, Rayban, D&G, Tiffany, Ferrari and Maserati. Through these partnerships and research into display elements both connected with corporate communication and the design of furnishings, he discovered his marked skill for designing furniture.
Therefore in 2003 the Gufram Siedi-Tee was born which, for Francesco Mansueto, became the key to entering the door of furniture design. From then on, he developed partnerships with the Politecnico of Turin mainly due to his creative skills connected with the study of new materials. An example is his participation in many initiatives connected with the world of Food Design in which he designs revolutionary items using edible materials. He won awards in international design competitions for the water bottle B’eau and the packaging IPack between 2004 and 2006. This was followed by a profitable partnership with Felicerossi which led to the production of the series of sofas, Mumble, worthy of an “honourable mention” at the Red Dot Design Award in 2009.
After this, still for Felicerossi, he designed the series of sofas, Ianus and in 2012, in association with the Architect Lo Bianco, he designed the first lamp produced by Fiam, L’Astra. His time is divided between design and communication, also developing projects for the new emerging markets, such as China.
