GTV@Paris Design Week 2022

LOOP by India Mahdavi is the protagonist of Paris Design Week

The new collection of LOOP chairs designed by India Mahdavi was chosen by the architect and designer to enrich the spaces of her study and her Parisian showroom, in order to showcase her creative flair on the occasion of the Paris Design Week. Composed of a loungechair and banquette, LOOP has the charm of a handmade design that is embodied in furnishings that express the ancestral know-how of the company. In this exercise, in fact, India Mahdavi remained faithful to the movement, supporting the stroke, without lifting the pencil. The leitmotif of the collection is the circle, which defines the boundary in space and wraps around itself before chasing its path, leaving two “loops” in its wake. The sinuous “curls” that characterize both seats, go beyond the limits of the possible: India Mahdavi asks the curved beech wood to redouble its efforts to amplify its beauty and roundness.

India Mahdavi Showroom | Opening sept 10th / 2-6 pm

Maison&Objet | Sept 8th-12th | HALL 7 – What’s New booth

Another important appointment for GTV in the Ville Lumière is Maison&Objet, the event par excellence dedicated to home decor and the main event of the year to capture the latest living trends. The unmistakable style of Gebrüder Thonet Vienna will be presented in Hall 7, with the LOOP lounge armchair, featuring a red structure and fabric cover of the same colour in the “What’s news – color by Elizabeth Leriche” section, where for this edition the famous interior designer and trend watcher has selected the most interesting and eye-catchingly colourful innovations in the sector for Maison Objet. This year, the designer Cristina Celestino, who designed the CARRYLLON collection of tables and coffee tables for GTV, was awarded designer of the year by Maison&Objet.

Lelievre showroom | Opening sept 8th

To represent the design of the Parisian company, the Lelievre showroom will also feature the FENG screen designed by the designer studio Testatonda. It is covered with an optical fabric with black and white stripes, which the French textile company has created for Jean Paul Gaultier.
